Pre-pilot
CRIOS — Pre-Pilot
CRIOS is the carbon offset token designed to be issued from verified Karbera claims. 1 CRIOS = 1 tCO₂ avoided, traceable to its underlying ONS hourly data, transferable as an ERC-20 token on Binance Smart Chain.
No tokens have been minted. Smart contracts have not been deployed.
Issuance begins after methodology lock, pilot partner agreement, and BSC Testnet contract verification. The figures below project what would be issued from currently-verified Karbera data, if minting were active.
The No-Self-Reporting Principle
Karbera reads what's already being recorded — by the grid operator, by the regulators, by the utilities, by hardware sensors on devices. The operator doesn't have to assemble or submit anything. The verification runs on the data, not on the operator.

What pilot will look like
- 1Karbera and partner sign pilot agreement specifying initial verification scope and issuance cadence.
- 2CRIOS and KarberaMinter contracts deploy to BSC Testnet, verified on BscScan, addresses published here.
- 3Karbera backend wallet receives
MINTER_ROLE. Operator provides a BSC receiving wallet via SIWE-signed message. - 4First mint batch issues from a verified monthly Karbera claim. Real transaction appears below with a real BscScan link.
Target chain: BNB Smart Chain testnet for pilot. Mainnet deployment subject to pilot validation.
